Spring and Summer Excitement

You may have read my last post on serendipity, which was all about an opportunity to create something incredible in Fayetteville. I've since taken it down because as with all opportunities, sometimes you take them, and sometimes you determine they aren't a good fit for you. That project is still in the works, I'm just not the one spearheading it any longer. I handed it back to the owner of the venture and lease holder for the building. I do hope their venture is successful, and with time, I hope it will be a gathering place for all, adding to the vibrancy of downtown Fayetteville. It's simply not my dream. We moved away from Fayetteville two years ago this June, and our life and our roots are now planted firmly on our land here in Wagram. This is the legacy we want to leave our children.

So, for the good news! In May we are starting our family farm stand right here on our land, our front porch in fact, and we are so excited! Nate has built and painted our sign and we are close to posting it out front of our house! We will have honey and jam, eggs as soon as our production is up, June will bring berries, and throughout the summer we will have freshly picked produce when it is ripe, plus fresh herbs. Who knows what else you'll find - I'm always creating and experimenting in the kitchen!

It's our vision that in time our neighbors may also want to participate and sell whatever they grow or make, and that our farm stand will grow and become a treasure for the Wagram community and our surrounding neighbors. A place to come for truly local food and friendship.

Our farm stand will make it's grand debut on Saturday, May 3rd from 4-7pm. 24181 Riverton Road in Wagram. It will be every Saturday evening through October. Come stop by and visit, we'd love to see you!

Until next time.

Love, Dr. Amanda
